My family went to Bar Harbor for a week’s vacation. We do this every three or four years, and the entire extended family goes en masse. I had a cortisone shot before leaving, and the surgeon and I agreed to schedule surgery for mid-September. I was to call upon our return home. My wife drove for almost the entire trip.
